Senior athletes shine across multiple sports at McNicholas High
Michelle Gallo, Charlie Gardner, and Ronda Gaskins lead in volleyball, football, basketball and track with letters, all star honors, and school records. They pursue college in Cincinnati area, study computer science or electronics, and reflect on family support and sports shaping grades. Coaching hires at McNicholas include two assistant football coaches as the school fields its first boys soccer team with conditioning starting August first. Shelly Goldthwaite, an all-EHL performer, plans Miami Ohio in social sciences and recalls key mentors and a dramatic 3-2 soccer win.

Clermont dominates Cincy softball in 1983 Metro Series
Clermont County teams dominated the Metro Cincinnati Junior Olympic 1983 Championship Series. The Williamsville Rowdies won the girls 15 and under title after a loser's bracket run, earning a regional berth in Evansville Indiana. The Christian Dior Diamond Ladies captured the 18 and under crown, heading to Lexington Kentucky. The Batavia Rebels took the boys 18 and under title advancing to Gadsden Alabama. The Rebels seek sponsors to fund their regional trip, with coach Ducker coordinating support. Bill Gordon earned nine letters in multiple sports and eyes Bowling Green State University.

Benzinger Stars In Florida League All-Star Game
Todd Benzinger of New Richmond High and Boston Red Sox affiliate Winter Haven starred for the North Division in Daytona Beach. The 20 year old center and left fielder batted .282 with six homers and 44 RBIs, adding a two run triple and a tying three bagger as the North beat the South 9-7. He earned the Star of Stars award.
