Knoxville heart transplant survivor to bike 3000 miles for checkup
Jim Hayes, 29, and his 18 year old brother Dewayne will ride 60 miles daily starting today for a 3000 mile trek to his fifth annual checkup at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto. The trip doubles as a fundraiser for the Eastern Tennessee Heart Association with donations already coming in from supporters. Hayes, a Veterans Administration employee, has trained for months and will be joined by specialists along the route if needed.

Court glue incident links prisoner and wife in wedlock
