No Wheat Surplus Expected Despite 1967 Harvest Outlook
Nebraska Wheat Growers Assn president Raymond L. Davis says 1967 crops will not create a surplus. June 1 estimates show winter wheat about 17 percent above last year and 28 percent above average, spring wheat up 23 percent. Davis notes domestic and export use should match total production, preventing price drops, and urges price-support loans to manage market supplies.
