Weekend Visits and Local Social Notes Recap

Mrs. Walter Carnine visited Central City friends last Thursday and Friday. Dr. Westfall and George Quick were York visitors Saturday. Local families hosted visitors from McCool Rising City and Kearney. A Halloween lunch closed the W.W.G. meeting. A baby girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Stromberg crowned the week’s social events.

Mrs R H Bottum and daughter Maxine of Lincoln visited the fore part of the week with her parents Mr and Mrs A W Shafer in Stromsburg. A D Dover and son Arnon were business visitors at Stromsburg Saturday afternoon. Miss Pearl Alkire spent Sunday with her parents in Bradshaw. Mrs Inez Eckles was a passenger.

Weekend visits bring relatives to Central City and area

Mr and Mrs Nelson King and son spent the weekend with relatives in Central City. Grand Island visitors included Mr Ralph Shafer and Mrs W A Wurtz and Mrs A C Jones. Hampton guests joined several local families for Sunday dinner and farm gatherings hosted by Mr and Mrs Claus Lindahl and by Mr and Mrs Henry Smith. A McPherson Kansas pair, C A Granath and family were guests with P A Hanquist and Augusta Johnson in town. Ella Shenk spent the weekend visiting relatives in Omaha.
