Community members hosted and visited over the weekend with multiple dinners and social events in Lincoln York Stromsburg Central City and Grand Island. Notable names include McNaught Lind Johnson Ostberg Tonniges Reed Peterson Flodman Foulk Stevens Carlson and others attending confirmations funerals Mothers Day and club meetings.
The seven county Educational Service Unit No 7 completes its staff for the 1968 69 school year subject to board approval. Dr Bruce Cowgill administers the unit with Andrew Oberhauser as assistant administrator and media center director in Columbus. Frank Parish heads health and special services and acts as Title Funds Coordinator. Tom Kotrous will be the unit's psychologist. Mrs Kotrous a former Leigh guidance counselor. Speech therapists include Gene Anthony Yvonne Baker Pluma Jo Black Miriam Quadhamer Sheila Cetak Joyce Martin Sheralyn Balak Larry Olson. Norman Rowell and Dean Dartman will serve as reading and art consultants respectively. Jackie Schmidt is the school nurse. The unit also funds training for trainable mentally handicapped students attending their chosen school.
A ledger of village expenditures includes donations to Polk Recreation Fund and payments to multiple officials and suppliers. Items cover salaries for treasurer and officers, license bonds, refunds, utilities, fuel, shop supplies, merchandise, and services from local contractors and vendors.

Raymond Sundberg hosted Saturday supper guests Harvey Sundberg Leann Bradley Susan Hoffman Sundbergs Lincoln. Jane Fredrickson Sandi Coolidge Neb Wesleyan were Sunday dinner guests of C Marvin Fredrickson. Robert Clymer family visited Rose Clymer York.
Trustee Dornburgh moves to allow the bills and draw warrants from their accounts. Seconded by Trustee McNaught the motion passes. Village Clerk Arnold Neuhaus records the adjournment after payroll and supply bills listing Central States Supply Co Mason Nurseries Polk Lumber Co Frank Cohagen Norton & Norton and Robert Anderson Sr. for services.
