Unique in the Southland Pinehurst offers a summer winter and spring village developed by James W. Tufts with three six thousand yard eighteen hole golf courses and a fourth under construction. It features trap shooting tennis shooting preserves and numerous facilities including hotels boarding houses cottages a department store medical and utility services and famed courses. Conscripts are excluded and access is via Seaboard Air Line Rail Road with northern and southern routes and stopover privileges for tourists.
