Gardner Wins Mrs J P Gardner Trophy In Match Play

In a Chicago hosted advertising tournament handicap event Mrs J P Gardner 24 defeated Miss Eleanor Freeman scratch five up and four in the final. Earlier Gardner beat Miss Pickhardt and Freeman beat Mrs Smith to reach the final. Other divisions saw Miss Ann Carlisle and Miss Ruth French among winners with various handicapped rounds and consolidations.

Medal Play Handicap Preliminary Net and Gross Winners

In a medal play handicap with nine stroke allowances, Miss Freeman and Miss Maule tied for the gross score at seventy-nine. Miss Freeman won the gross trophy, Miss Maule the net trophy. Mrs. Smith was third with eighty-two and Mrs. Crocker fourth with eighty-three. The scores list Miss Freeman and Miss Maule in vil.
