McCarty Sets 198 Of 200 In Opening Trap Event
G S McCarty of Philadelphia posted 198 of 200 in the Fifth Annual Trap Shooting Handicap opening sweepstake. He followed with a 131 straight on the 200 targets, amid a deep field with Wright, Newcomb, Hodgman and Laslie all tied at 192. Lester German led the pros with 195 and a 105 straight as the tournament runs under Luther J. Squier and a host of traps.
