Ohio amends constitution by proposing education funds and Senate vacancies
Ohio proposes to amend Article VI section 1 to direct funds from lands to be used as prescribed by law. It also seeks to amend Article II section 11 to change how vacancies are filled by party affiliation and temporary appointments. The amendments set dates for votes and effective dates and include procedural rules for courts and judges under a broad restructuring. The amendments were certified by Secretary of State Ted W. Brown on March 1968 with upcoming ballots.
