The Soda Springs Home Demonstration Club will meet at the designated community hall with members urged to bring project notes and share progress on current crafts and cooking displays.
Miss Anne Lucy Lane, County Home Demonstration Agent, will attend the meeting to demonstrate cheese making. The club met May 23 with Mrs. W. Causey and a large attendance. Everyone enjoyed Miss Lane's talk on preparing products for the frozen food locker plant.
The House of Parliament offers tours only on Saturdays unless a visitor holds an order from a Member, restricting public access and requiring official authorization for entry.

Technical Sergeant William T. Farrar 27 of Route 4 Comanche arrives at Army Air Forces Redistribution Station No 2 Miami Beach for reassignment after 31 months in the European Theater of Operations. He will undergo medical exams and interviews over about two weeks with rest and recreation time. Farrar served as aircraft mechanic and instructor, entered the Army in October 1941, and is married to Willie Jo Farrar. The article notes tobacco growing is illegal in Egypt and Turkey supplies most tobacco to Egypt.
Saturday night May 5 Miss Lawana Mims wed John Couch of Gustine. She is daughter of Mr and Mrs Orville Mims of near Lamkin. Several visitors and local residents were mentioned as visiting relatives and attending events, with notes on travel and transfers affecting local families.

The Helpful Workers Club of Union met with Mrs. Odell Morgan on May 1. Twenty six attendees, including 18 members and eight visitors, exchanged gifts and shared a covered dish luncheon at noon. Members and visitors are invited to future meetings.
