Isabella Junior Livestock Show Meet Details
Exhibitors to meet at Union Pavilion Hall in Detroit on Monday evening November 25 to arrange travel and learn details for the 28th annual Junior Livestock Show. The Isabel la County Youth and Farm Fair Society held its annual meeting with a small turnout. Secretary Maynard Gilmore reported a 1997 fair balance of 3075.70 dollars as of October 31, with an estimated 838.70 dollars profit after year-end balances. Over 1200 dollars were invested in improvements. Directors totaling 13 were elected, with Maynard Gilmore, Howard Ayvis, Earl Grace, Orville Klumpp, Chester Brown, Vernell Fike, Herbert Travis, Mik O’Brien, Dean Acker, George Jane, Ronald Smith, Ewart Bowerman, and Ernest Klumpp named. We arranged with Richard Pfister Agricultural Engineering Specialist from Michigan State University to spend a day on December 5 helping farmers solve farm building problems.
