Brinton Saturday Dance Attracts Crowd Despite Music Failure
Eight Point Lake area residents including Emily Phelps and Belle Wheaton visited Clare on business and family matters. Gerald Phelps, on a seventy six day furlough after service in Europe, called on sisters and joined a large neighborhood crowd at Brinton where the music failed, prompting a move to Sears. Cars remained largely on the fritz across the neighborhood as townsfolk shared news of furloughs, repairs, and local visits.
