The third test of a three year steer feeding experiment by the Texas Experiment Station and A and M College with the U S Department of Agriculture and the Big Spring Chamber of Commerce concludes in June at Bay Springs Texas. Sorghum fodder and silage outperform cottonseed hulls in fattening baby beeves with cottonseed hulls least effective. The Feeders Field Day at the U S Experiment Station June 8 will present full results with attendees from A and M College and other Texas cattle interests.

Two cars collided on a curve near Wellborn Sunday morning causing cuts and bruises. Occupants included T. J. D. King and Mrs. King of Batesville Arkansas Thomas A. Gray and A. K. Peveto of Fort Worth and Ed Scott Bryan undertaker driving the other car. The Fort Worth group, returning from the Southern Baptist convention in Houston, stayed overnight with Rev. and Mrs. R. E. Day before continuing home.

Funeral Services For Frank J. Maly Held On Sunday
The funeral for Frank Joseph Maly, 25, of the Smetana community, son of Mr. and Mrs Tom Maly, who died in Houston Saturday night from accidental asphyxiation while working on a gas engine, was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the McCulloch-Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. R. E. Day officiating. He leaves a widow eight months married, his parents, six brothers, and six sisters. Interment was in the Smetana cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Pasier C J Jancik Joe Holik Joe Merka John Stasney and John Bertke.

Cyrus Jennings World War Veteran Laid to Rest in Bryan
Cyrus Jennings, a World War I veteran and former cotton classifier, died after a long illness at his father in law's home on West 26th Street in Bryan on May 15 1926. He served in the 109th Infantry 28th Division, fought at the Marne Carey River and St Mihiel, was gassed in 1918, and received an honorable discharge in 1919. He is survived by his wife Frances, daughter Jane Elizabeth, and siblings Florence, T W Jennings of Garland and T J Jennings of Leander. The funeral was held May 16 at the Hamilton home with Rev C B Thompson and Rev J J Tatum officiating. A male quartet sang at the home and grave. Categories of pallbearers and honoraries are listed.

McCormick division engineer for road district No. 17 of the State Highway Department visited Bryan today to oversee Pitts Bridge work and to prepare surfacing and widening plans for the College Bryan road. He expects plans to reach the State Highway Commission soon and bids to follow, with construction starting shortly after. The project will connect a Gulf-bound north south route and ease summer travel.
