Rainbow Order Holds Interesting Meeting Friday
Bryan Assembly No 41 Order of the Rainbow held a Friday evening meeting at the Masonic Temple. Four candidates were initiated Marie Graham Joyce Smith Kathleen Bullard and Jane Elliott. Officers installed included Estelle Meyrs as worthy advisor Katherine Mitchell associate worthy advisor Maurine Howell Charity Gussie Ballerstedt Hope Evelyn Butler Faith. Wava Martin installation officer. Floral decor and a large crowd marked the event. Mrs J R Wright mother advisor of the Bryan Assembly aided the group and many membership applications were received. Carl Jones of Reliance reported to the County Agent that plant lice on English peas were controlled by dusting nicotine dust on the plants with a salt shaker. The nicotine dust, bought March 15 at the College, was kept in fruit jars and showed strong potency as Friday dusting left the ground visibly coated by Saturday morning.

Death of J J Potts Reported in Bryan
Mr and Mrs Alf Patterson received a morning phone call announcing the death of their relative J J Potts at 2 30 this morning. Potts had been in good health and died instantly after rising in his room. He was married in Bryan to Mollie Patterson, sister of Alf Patterson, and will be buried in Waco with funeral services tomorrow at 4 o’clock at the family home.
