A survey of 92 recent Animal Husbandry graduates shows 31 work on farms and ranches, 18 teach agriculture in high schools, 14 in commercial feeding organizations, 6 as county agents, 6 in college and experiment work, 4 in graduate study, 2 in veterinary fields, and 9 in other posts.

Spinsters Convention to Be Held at Kurten

The Department of Agriculture released revised 1924 25 cotton data with area in cultivation 40 0 million acres picked 46 0530 000 yields 167 2 pounds per acre and total production 16 086 000 bales. State level revisions include Texas 17 608 000 acres and Oklahoma 5 214 000 acres.

The Bryan Fire Department hosted a stirring post carnival meeting at the old fire station with City Manager J Bryan Miller presiding. Kurten Club Reports Growth and Campaign for Good Citizenship

The Kurten boys and girls club held a full attendance meeting with reports on crop and chick losses yet a shared optimism to win county competition. Lornie Keith received a hallmarked check from Howell Lumber Company for first place as County Agent Benson urged best effort. Cliff Lopez led yells and urged members to reflect on club origins and national progress while promoting daily acts of good citizenship.

Health nurses call mothers to free infant health check

Miss Ella Bandelin, county health nurse, will meet Harvey mothers at the school house on Friday the 28th at 2 p m. All children from one month to seven years may be weighed and inspected by a local physician. Parents will learn about proper diet and infant care in a free lecture.

A M College Aids Farmers with Millet Germination Test

Jim Francis of Tabor gave two millet seed samples to County Agent C L Benson for germination testing at A M College. Experiments by E B Reynolds of the Agronomy Department found sample No 1 at 72.5 percent germination and sample No 2 at 50 percent. The results suggest Francis can expect a poor to fair stand based on these seeds.

A J Edwards Injured When Horse Runs Away

A J Edwards of Millican was seriously hurt Monday when his horse bolted and overturned the buggy. He was thrown unconscious and carried home for medical care. No bones were broken but he suffered severe bruising and nervous shock.

National Quest For People to Share the Honors

The American Youth Award and American Teacher Award seek candidates aged 13 to 19 and women school teachers to represent their state in Philadelphia for the 150th anniversary celebration. Selected youths will travel June 28 to July 5 with expenses paid and receive medals from President Coolidge at the White House. Summer School of Cotton to Open Eighteenth Session

The eighteenth session of the Summer School of Cotton at the A and M College of Texas begins June 7 and runs to July 17.
