Early this morning on College Avenue a car driven by A W Buchanan with four others including Miss Rosa Lee Taylor ran into a ditch while avoiding a cow. All occupants escaped serious harm though Miss Taylor suffered painful bruises. The vehicle required hoisting from the ditch.

Salvation Army Drive to Start In Bryan Soon

Death of W. K. Teague Noted in Bryan Telegram

Telegram received by Mrs. J. L. Tucker from J. Ear Teague at High Point North Carolina reports the death of Wm K Teague father of J L Tucker and states burial occurred Monday with return to Bryan on the 16th. The Teague couple died from paralysis strokes and many friends extend sympathy.

Fulghams Travel to Mississippi for Death of HB C Tye

Mr and Mrs HL C Fulgham and their son Henry Jr left for Jackson Mississippi after a telegram said HB C Tye their brother in law was dying. Tye had been ill about two weeks but not thought dangerously ill. They traveled via Houston and New Orleans aiming to reach Jackson by 10 30 p m if not delayed.

Mth Anniversary Edition of A M Longhorn Is Out

COLLEGE STATION May 12 The Golden Anniversary edition of The Longhorn annual published by the senior class of the A and M College of Texas is being distributed this week to students and subscribers. It is a nine by twelve inch leather bound volume of 550 pages detailing the College Classes Military Athletics Activities and more. The foreword vows to build a memorial for the future and the dedication credits men living and dead who advanced the institution over fifty years. The book is divided into eight books with the 1926 Logahorn staff listed including editor Longley business manager Garrett and others in administration classes military activities athletics clubs and college life.

Hog Cholera Exposed As Truck Brings Infected Hogs

A man from Waco was arrested by Sheriff Jess Conree for attempting to Move hogs infected with cholera into the county. Of 38 hogs in the truck, all but two died within two days, after the driver fled for help when gas ran out. He faces a $250 bond on a charge under the State Livestock Sanitary Commission against bringing infected livestock into guarded territory.

Waco Furniture Merchant Shoots Self in Home

D. M. Hadley a local furniture dealer near Waco on the Robinson road shot himself Tuesday morning, according to Justice J. J. Padgett. A neighbor loaned him a gun shortly before his wife and neighbors heard a shot. he was found dead in his automobile with a bullet in his heart and a pistol in the car. He leaves a wife, two sons, and two daughters.

Waco Names New Armory Fort Wright in Guard Ceremony

At the Fort Worth opening of the Texas National Guard armory in Waco the post was named Fort Wright by attendees. Major B Fiske Wright of Waco, killed in the Meuse Argonne offensive, led his battalion in the 141st Infantry Thirty Sixth Division.
