Graves plan reorganization bill passes Texas House amid cost-cutting push

Bratton Named Judge of the Tenth Circuit

The Houston Chronicle reports that Senator Sam G Bratton will accept an appointment as judge of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Born in Limestone County Texas he built a legal career in the Panhandle Pecos Valley and served as U S senator from New Mexico. R C Holmes president of the Texas Company said seventy five million barrels of crude were produced in excess of Conservation Commission allowables for 15 months ending March 1 1933 in Texas. Girl Winner Given High Honor In Dramatic War

Mrs. E. H. Astin returns from Austin with news of Miss Wright daughter of Mrs. Don r and formerly of Bryan earning top honors. Wright a member of the Austin High School dramatic club was on the all star dramatic team in the state Interscholastic league contests among about 200 teams. The Austin team won first place and Wright was named best individual performer in the contest. Wright is known here through her family ties to Mrs. Astin and Allie Co and J Hendrix Conway of Bryan visits.
