Building Permits Issued This Year Behind 32 Period Record
Building permits in Bryan for the first four months of 1988 totaled 23 668 dollars, versus 31 606 dollars in early 1982. The 1933 period saw 20 permits with 1 166 dollars average, while the same period last year had 39 permits and 810 dollars average. Youth Jailed for Horse Theft From Brazos Man
Oliver S. Bradford, about 18, claimed a home in Alabama and had been in jail about a month for Allen Harding who farms on a Crenshaw place. He was jailed Friday on a charge of stealing a horse from his employer. He admitted to county authorities that he took the horse Wednesday when Harding left to deliver milk and planned to go to Houston with it. He was captured after Harding overtook him.
