Canning Demonstration Held for Negroes in Brazos County

The first canning demonstration for negroes of Brazos county occurred Wednesday at Roan's Chapel. Ninety plants produced 82 jars of corn, peas, and tomatoes under county agent H. K. Hornsbury. Ruby Pritchett of Bedias received a letter of commendation from E W White dean of Texas State College for Women for outstanding work this past semester.
