Millican Methodist sent five delegates to a Union League meeting in Bryan last Friday. Delegates include Miss Nannie Mae Williams Sylvia Meredith and Doris Simpson plus Messrs Pinkney Simpson and Kirkland Edwards. The League plans a watermelon social at Mies Trone Furman's Saturday evening July 16. Missionary Society groups planned a July 21 barbecue at Mrs B McGregor's with watermelon. Y P U Baptist groups held a picnic at South Branch Spring on July 9 with games at Miss Thelma Seeley's. The socials engage most Millican youth in church work.
