Hurt Twice In One Hour In Boston Public Garden

Arthur T. Meaghin, 29, of 629 Tremont Street, is in serious condition at City Hospital after two falls within an hour yesterday. Initially he collapsed in the Public Garden injuring his nose, then returned with possible skull fracture after convulsions while walking on Massachusetts Avenue near Shawmut Avenue and Tremont Street, striking his head on a settee iron leg.

Grand Jury Report In Bribe Case Expected Today

An anticipated indictment, possibly two, will be reported to the court this morning by the grand jury probing bribery claims linked to one of the jurors from the Wood Atteaux Collins dynamite conspiracy trial last week.

The grand jury heard many witnesses including private detectives and friends of juror Morris Shuman. District Attorney announced no evidence against any person connected to the case and no suspicion of bribery among the remaining jurors. Judge Crosby adjourned the special sitting after 15 minutes as no public investigation seemed necessary.
