Former Willard Hospital to Be Demolished After Yearslong Vacancy
Willard city officials announced the former Willard Municipal Hospital, later Mercy Willard Hospital, will be torn down around Thanksgiving after a suitable buyer could not be found. City Manager Brian Humphress said the building, moved to Near Zick Road years ago, has no sale price and will cost several hundred thousand dollars to demolish, with walls and elevators already removed or abated.
