Civics Class Receives Workbooks and Field Drill
The civics class received their ordered workbooks as they prepared for an upcoming game. The drill time, led by Miss Darwin and Mrs. Blanton, spans about thirty minutes daily to train forty performers and maintain discipline. Preceding them, Howe’s pep squad, with a single bass drum, formed a center-field “W” and an “H” for Whitewright, illustrating the contrast between drum-aided and drumless squads.
