Franchises sought to erect utilities lines in Washington County Iowa
The Iowa Southern Utilities Company of Centerville filed a petition with the Iowa State Commerce Commission seeking a franchise to construct operate and maintain electric transmission lines across public lands highways streams and private lands in Washington County Iowa including the area beginning at the NW corner of Sec 30 T76N R9W. A hearing was set for September 15 at Des Moines at 10:00 a.m. Objections must be filed in writing at least five days prior. The commission urged representation by a fully authorized signer.
