Utah irrigation water could be doubled via river rights
A Utah State Agricultural College report says developing state water rights in the Colorado River could nearly double irrigation supplies by 2,103,400 acre feet, enabling 607,400 acres of new irrigation and aiding 406,800 acres with insufficient water. Increased land, crop and livestock output would raise state farm income from 150 million to 240 million dollars and raise average farm earnings.
