Defrosting saves Yes Instant-on TV energy tips
Defrosting saves Yes. Instant-on television sets use a small current even when off. To cut waste, plug the set into a wall switch outlet or add an on off switch on the set or its card. Some Instant-on sets have a vacation switch to disable the feature. When on, energy use is comparable to similar sets. transistorized models use less energy than vacuum tubes.
