Pastor rails against war toys at Christmas sermon
Selvy Pastor James R. Rhodes of Eastern Parkway Methodist Church condemned war toys as Christmas gifts. He warned parents that guns tanks and atomic submarines teach children to kill and cited Charles Whitman’s Texas Tower shooting as the grim example. He urged parents to show children the consequences of war toys with a photo of a war victim.
