Three Teams Tied For 1st Place In League

The Dougherty's Hotel Grove team moved into a first place tie in the Dougherty's Hotel Grove League with a 31 17 mark. Bob McCart's United League holds a narrower lead after a 31 17 tie as multiple records were broken across leagues. Sher ton Herrington and Walter Eddy set top marks while Reynolds Tool Die and Bar-B-Que lead a crowded chase in the National League with 28 20 and 26 22 records respectively. High single scores, triples, and averages shift across four leagues as teams compete for top spots and individual awards.

Painting gift to First Baptist Church Hoosick

Mrs. Reata Bonesteel of Boyntonville donated an oil painting of the First Baptist Church in Hoosick. The artwork with winter background will hang in the church Fellowship room and will be highlighted at the 1969 100th anniversary dedication event. The church cost $12,135 to build.

Autoist Fined 65 in Hoosick Falls Traffic Court

Dennis Begin, 20, of Hoosick Falls, fined 65 dollars total for DWI 50, speed 10, muffler 5 in Hoosick Falls village court. A defective brakes charge was dismissed after a long delay from last June. Leroy Martin, 30, of Noosick Falls, fined 10 for speeding.

Aptitude Tests Scheduled At Hoosick Falls High

Scholastic aptitude tests were given at Hoosick Falls Central School Saturday for seniors considering four year colleges. Registration closes Saturday Dec. 9 for College Board tests to be held January 13. Visiting representatives advised juniors and seniors on nursing and other careers from Troy School of Beauty Central Business Institute U S Naval Reserve St Lawrence University State University Oneonta and Sullivan County Community College. At Geneva the 17 nation disarmament conference formally received President Johnsons offer to apply IAEA safeguards to all private nuclear activities in the United States if extended to all countries.
