Secretary of State Ted Brown issues a charter for The Rupp Construction Inc with Raymond O Morgan as statutory agent at 20 Downing Block Wooster. Incorporators are Walter A Rupp Jesse Radabaugh and James A Davis Jr authorized 250 shares no par.
Nineteen members of Rittman High School class of 1953 and guests totaling thirty attended a reunion at Clay Park near Canal Fulton last Sunday. Carolyn Duskey presided as president. William Collier was secretary treasurer. Jerri Hess named president for next year. Clare Bauer to serve as secretary treasurer. Tentative plans for 1956 call for a Clay Park meeting on the last Sunday in July with a basket lunch followed by swimming boating and ball games.
A Sunday service at Canaan Lutheran Church featured a Children's Day program with classes presenting parts of the program. Kindergarten to junior classes performed, recited, and sang on Ten Commandments, Jesus teachings, and Moses stories. Mrs. Hermant Kneubuehl and Miss Florence Whensettler led teachers for various groups. WSCS at Methodist church held an all day session with crafts and a dinner, concluding with a talk on lasting peace. Friendly Couples and other groups held Bible study and devotions at home.
Neighbors hosted an open house for Mr. and Mrs. William Orr on Sunday to honor their 40 years together. The couple, married June 16, 1915 in Wooster, have a son Wayne in Dillon SC. Orr, a retired veterinarian and former meat inspector, lived in Canaan Township and Creston all his life.
Dr. Farmer led a discussion on the Parable of the Mustard Seed as Gideon and Bible Society will oversee Sunday services at the church. Mrs. Margaret Woodward assisted with ice cream and coffee after the service. A music recital at home on South Main Street Creston featured Nancy Sykes Rebecca Hawk Sally Gordon Sally Way Garrett Scott Dick Wolfert Jimmy Sykes and Barbara Long. Mothers attended the social time following the program.

The Rittman village council authorizes relocating and installing copper water services along Sunset Drive from about 200 feet west of the center line of Metzer Avenue to a distance of 800 feet. The action follows engineer plans and priority to public health and welfare.
The village council approves plans for an improvement project and sets cost sharing with property owners. Bonds and notes will be issued in anticipa tion of collection with tenyear installments. A lease with the Ohio Boxboard Company for Erlat Street athletic field is also approved to allow use of its premises as a baseball diamond with maintenance by the village.
City council of the Village of Rittman Ohio declares it necessary to improve West Sunset Drive 1200 feet by constructing an eight inch sanitary sewer with laterals and appurtenances. Plan specifications and profiles are on file. The cost will be apportioned to benefited lots and lands, including survey and notice expenses.
State of Ohico Department of Highways Columbus Ohio announces sealed proposals for Wayne County on State Route 3 in Creston. Bids due 10:00 A M Eastern Time July 12 1955. Requires asphalt resurfacing and payment of prevailing wages per Industrial Relations schedule.
