Forty Years Ago in Diller and Nearby
The Record recalls local life from forty years ago including workers like Fred Drake leaving for Odell and J B Zook traveling east to perform duties for United States Marshal. It notes barn building for Frank Mathias, wheat and oats crops, and warnings against mailing money out of town. It covers politics, church activities, old bridges, a mail-order critique, and a busy Old Settlers reunion with music from the Diller Cornet Band.
