Clermont aims to guard water flow amid dry spells
Sanitary engineer Donald J. Reckers says Clermont County can keep ample water in pipes despite a dry spell. Williamsburg Water System Faces Surge in Demand
Betty Wahn rides a moped through Williamsburg as water pumps run 24 hours a day. The system’s peak demand has risen from 7.5 million gallons daily in 1979 to 9.8 million in 1981, with capacity expanded to 12 million gallons. Reckers notes stored elevated tanks should cover 24 hours for normal use and fire protection.
