Milford Cross Country Marathon Opens for Fun Run
Milford Area Jaycees host a three mile cross country race on Saturday June 3 at 9 a.m. Entries from Lawrenceburg Indiana and Milford area families including the Corns are welcomed. Five divisions award top finishers with certificates for all. Late entries 3 dollars accepted at 8 30 a.m. Gary Knepp chairs the event with Milford Shopping Center start and Milford American Legion finish.

Zoning changes okayed for Wolfpen Pleasant Hill area
Ralph Cooper seeks to rezone 1.03 acre corner lot from Residential A to B 2 on Wolfpen Pleasant Hill Road and Pleasant Circle. Miami Township maps show B 2. referendum planned. Final Wilderness Trails subdivision plans approved with sidewalk along Cook Road across full frontage, and subject to sanitary engineer approval. Subdivision lies along Cook Road east side about 2204 feet north of SR intersection in Miami Township. James Bittner filed final plans for 1647 feet Wilderness Ridge Drive and 708 feet Wild Ridge Lane creating 48 lots of about 20 000 square feet each along proposed streets and Cook Road.

Ohio Audit Reports Weather Aid Programs Snow Removal and Energy Crisis
State Auditor released two special audits on weather emergency programs. Clermont County received 103 568 for January 1978 snow events. Federal payments totaling 3 553 730.37 funded private snow removal by political subdivisions and schools during a declared blizzard emergency. A 13 300 000 federal grant supported the energy crisis intervention program aiding low income families with utility bills from the winter of 1976 1977.

Miami University Theatre Cast Presents Summer and Smoke
Tony Freeman of 110 Commons Drive Milford was among 14 in the final Miami University Theatre production Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams. Freeman belongs to Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Lambda Delta and has done intramural wrestling and other Miami stage shows.

SDRC Grants Second $50 000 To Ohio State University
The Structural Dynamics Research Corporation of Cincinnati awarded its second $50,000 grant to Ohio State University in May to expand the College of Engineering computer aided design and manufacturing program. SDRC founder Dr. Jack Lemon led the presentation and noted the need for engineers skilled in computer aided design due to equipment cost and faculty limits. Also announced: Valley Area Council of Ohio PTA officers will be installed May 24 at Scarlet Oaks Vocational School, led by Mary Rozic and other officials from Madeira, Indian Hill, Greenhills Forest Park, Sycamore, and Milford.
