Susie and Paul Emmitt will be honored June 1 at Bethel sponsored Senior Citizens Center. The event includes cake decorating, a cake display, and a film The Aimless Frame. The program features a simple exercise routine plus diet guidance for active aging.
The Clermont County YWCA sponsors a full day bus trip on June 7 to Holmes County the largest Amish settlement. Stops include an Amish parochial school buggy shop blacksmith shop Swiss cheese factory and an Amish farmhouse with an Amish lunch at Sugarcreek. Bus departs Batavia YWCA 7:30 a.m. returns 7:30 p.m. Registration due June 1 and lunch included for YW participants. For details call.
Miss Jean Ann Chirco and Clifford D Needles wed May 5 at St Thomas More Church Withamsville. Rev Oscar Segar officiated. Bridesmaids wore floor length chiffon with daisies bouquets. Reception at American Legion Hall Post 72. After trip to Florida the couple will live in Williamsville.
Mrs Charles Owens was elected president of the Olive Branch District Civic Association with new officers including Mrs William Hartzell as vice president and Mrs Harry Simons as recording secretary. A gavel donated by Henry Whitt was presented in May. The group will meet June 10 at 7:30 p m at the VFW Hall Stoddard Lane. The public may attend. Miss Marcia Kay Hale wed Gary Wayne Kincaid May 8 at First Baptist Amelia with Rev Dallas Eubanks officiating. The reception followed at Mt Moriah Fellowship Hall. Bride is Amelia High School 1970 graduate. Groom is Batavia High School 1988 graduate. They plan to reside in Mt Washington after a Smoky Mountains trip.
The second annual Flea Market and Antique Sale runs 1 to 6 pm at Clermont County Library Union Township Branch Mt. Carmel. Proceeds fund library needs, with an art show, white elephant table, and free parking.
