Batavia High honors spring sports with awards day
Bob Wolf and Nick Ross were chosen to represent Bata via at Boys State with Joe Remley as alternate. The first Athletic and Service Award Day was held Monday May 20 as baseball captain Danny Haskel and track star Joe Ogletree received awards. Joe Ogletree qualified for the state track meet by placing high in regionals. Baccalaureate and graduation are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and 8 p.m. respectively.

4-H Clubs Mt Pisgah Pipers Discuss Fair Entries
4 H Clubs Mt Pisgah Pipers held at the home of Mrs Charles Oetzel discussed fair entry projects and judging dates. Evaluation cards were completed. Next meeting scheduled for June 11 at 2 pm. Mrs Oetzel announced optional project work June 5 and 7 afternoons. Vickie Bieser and Joan Crouthers served refreshments. Perintown Willing Workers met May 14 under Mrs J R Fomorin. She described sewing project materials and patterns. The Club earned 24.60 for the 4 H Camp Fund from candy egg sales.

Cemetery Board Restricts Floral Pieces On Graves
Green Mound Cemetery in New Richmond implements new rules limiting grave adornments. After Memorial Day all floral pieces except limited items must be removed within two weeks, and no more than two pieces may remain on a grave.
