Dayton Native Named Associate County Agent Nominee
Jerome A. Walter, a Dayton native with a degree in agriculture from Ohio State University, was recommended for the post of associate agricultural extension agent in Clermont County. Pending OSU Board approval, he is set to begin June 15, working with County Agent W. W. Hamilton and home demonstration agent Rita Probasco, with emphasis on the 4-H club program.

Stitchers Change Name to GE Stitchers
The Glen Este Stitchers meet at Janet Kammerer home on May 9 and rename the club GE Stitchers to reflect Glen Este. Nine members attend the meeting and the next gathering is set for June 6 at 1 30 p.m. at Olive Branch Methodist Church.

Direct Assignment To Third Division Now Being Offered
The U S Army Recruiting Service announces direct assignment to the Third Armored Division at Fort Knox Kentucky with tours in Europe during the next four months. Former servicemen and new enlistees are eligible for these assignments under Operation Gyroscope set to begin in 1956.
