Signatures Vary Causes Arrest of Two for License Fraud
Two Cincinnati men, Dennis J. Thompson and Kenneth P. Combs, were fined $50 and costs and given three days in county jail after pleading guilty to attempting to obtain a driver s license by fraud. Thompson posed as Combs to secure a license for him. A Bethel duo, Charles F E Cochran and William Lee Cochran, faced similar charges after signs of forged signatures during a license test.

Ex-Representative Hannah Dies After Cerebral Hemorrhage
Lee H. Hannah 69 a Clermont County former state representative died after a cerebral hemorrhage at home on Davis Pike Bethel. Services were held Tuesday at Kennedy funeral home in Bethel with burial in Bethel Tate. He served as county clerk of courts and later in the State Highway Department and was active in Clermont County politics. Survived by Lola his widow a son Earl a stepson Kenneth Wiley two brothers Gail and Harry and a sister Mrs Catherine Metford Bates. Burial followed in Bethel Tate.

Children from the United States, South and Central America, Mexico and Sweden attend the seventh Children's International Summer Village at Lake Allyn Olive Branch from May 18 to June 18. Forty-three participants include 41 children and 12 adult chaperons. The camp, directed by Homer Edington, aims to foster international understanding. A June 10 plant visit to Clermont Courier is planned for the group. Public tours of Lake Allyn occur Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. for meeting the visitors and learning about their countries.

State Route 125 to gain 48 foot highway upgrade and funding
Rep John Hayden announced Governor Lausche and the State Highway Department approved a 48 foot wide four lane upgrade on State Route 125. The plan calls for $885,000 state funds matched by $885,000 federal money to convert a two lane road over 5.20 miles east from the Hamilton Clermont line. Local groups praised the victory and engineers will inspect the curve at Route 222. Tom Dix offered a right of way, and a $20,000 provision was approved for toilet and bathhouse facilities at Clermont’s Stonelick Lake recreation area.

Accident Claim of Springfield Jury Reduces Charge
Theodore Springfield 48 formerly of Jasper Alabama faced second degree murder charges in Cler mons County for the death of his brother Kermit 33 of Guild Tennessee from a May 9 accident on Dry Run Road near Per intown. The two were hunting with Henry J. Pierson when a gun discharged. Theodore claimed accidental discharge. Eight other indictments were returned including non support assault rape larceny by trick and resisting arrest.
