Zoning Plan Set for Stonelick and Nearby Townships
Clermont residents face a nine township zoning plan after voters consider legislation this November. A public hearing on Stonelick zoning is May 19 at Clermont Northeastern High School with six proposed districts including estate and urban residential and industrial.

Batavia Senior Wins Partial Scholarship to Hair Design School
Miss Sonja Weigel daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Smith of Batavia High School Class of 1969 has been notified she won a partial scholarship to the Hollywood School of Hair Designing Cincinnati. Fourteen partial scholarships were awarded. Sonja plans to begin cosmetology training this summer. A former Williamsburg High student she belonged to Future Homemakers of America and now volunteers for the Red Cross and works at the Batavia Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Logopedics Plans Summer Session at Batavia Junior High
The Clermont Logopedics Center offers a six week summer speech and hearing therapy program for preschool and school aged children beginning June 9. Sessions are 1/2 hour daily five days a week with a $20 fee due at registration. Interviews May 17 and May 24 from 9 to 11 at Batavia Junior High. James E. Mack MA will direct the program and serve as therapist.

Escapees Still Elude Capture In Clermont County Jail Break
Search in Clermont County continues for two inmates who escaped during church services at the Clermont County Jail. David Gregory, 28, of Beth el Spring Street, and Larry Jarvis, 21, of Milford Ivy Road, face multiple charges including housebreaking and rape. Over 40 deputies scour the area with aerial help from Roy Heddleston of the Clermont County Airport. Both are described as dangerous white males.

DAV Chapter Elects Officers At June Meeting
Carlos S Hutson adjutant for Clermont County Chapter 63 of the Disabled American Veterans announces a June 9 meeting at the Mt Lookout Building and Loan Building Amelia for officer elections.
