Husband Found Guilty for Supporting Child of Another Man
A jury convicted a husband of failure to support a child he learned, during testimony, did not belong to him. The wife admitted the child was not his and announced she is pregnant again by a man other than the husband. The defense sought dismissal but the judge noted the law holds a husband liable when he marries a pregnant wife. The couple lived together 28 days and neither has filed for divorce.
