The Fair Meadows Garden Club presents the Life is Beautiful themed flower show at Owensville Fair Grounds August 14 to 18. Exhibitors must submit applications by Aug 13 6 p.m. to Mark Atchley. rules cover entry limits materials labeling and judging times with a grand prize of 10 for the club sweepstakes and 5 for runner-up.
The Felicity Garden Club marks its 20th anniversary with a flower show on August 2 from 1 PM at Mrs. Iliam T. Maynard’s home Sunnybank on the Ohio River. Invited clubs include Batavia Bethel Georgetown Milford Ripley and Williamsburg with special guests Region 4 Ohio Association of Garden Clubs director Mrs. Daniel Duicy and Clermont County Federation president Mrs. Ralph Hawkins. The event features 19 classes in home backgrounds and honors Felicity’s early leader Mrs. Byron Ross. The show is led by Mrs. Louis J. Schwartz with a committee including Mrs. William Ulrich and Mrs. Edwin Brannock. A workshop precedes the show on August 1 at Neville-Penn Schoolhouse Road hosted by Mrs. Schwartz.
