Drastic Revision Ordered In Realty Tax Duplicate
Clermont County property owners face a drastic revision upward in real estate valuations next year after the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals mandated a 40 million dollar increase in property valuations. Auditor Arnold Stumpf seeks an equitable spread of a 20 percent hike across the tax duplicate. Robert Kinney of the Board notes the board requires a 35 percent true value taxable value standard. Observers link the rise to increased sales activity in higher price ranges as the cause of the revision.
