Thompson Waited Year To Launch Clermont Athlete Inspires
Mike Thompson a 1982 Glen Este graduate waited a year before starting college football. He trained intensively, improved from 205 to 295 bench press, and, with support from Wilmington College staff and family, pursued athletics and academics. His rare choice and discipline aim to motivate other Clermont County athletes to seek college sports.

Clermont County will host a major soccer invite July 30 to August 1 featuring 76 teams from across the U S and Canada. Top clubs from 10 age groups will play on local fields with schedules posted at Eastgate Mall. United States Soccer Federation sanctioned. contact Jim Henke for participation.

All-American Track Tractor Pull at Hall of Fame
The first annual All-American Track Tractor Pull Championships will be held at Galbreath Field July 16 and 17. Contestants compete for more than $25,000 in prizes. Sanctioned by the National Tractor Pullers Association. Tickets cost 7.50 in advance and 8.50 at the gate, with 4.50 for children under 12.
