The Bethel Lions Club closed another year of service as Lloyd Harlow became president. The Bethel Tate Board of Education approved a budget around 170000 and eyed a new school near Burke Park. Police tackled Fourth of July disturbances. Mayor White’s Court collected over one hundred dollars in fines. Ailing Griffiths at Christ Hospital and Calvin Wichard recovering after appendicitis were noted. Various out of town visitors arrived from Uniontown, Fond du Lac, Cynthiana, Los Angeles, Cleveland, and other locales. An upcoming social at Lakin Chapel promises ice cream and chicken sandwiches.
