An editorial warns of rising taxation and a federal deficit as Washington pursues more spending. It argues the average American taxpayer should be represented in lobbying, noting the middle class bears the burden while government seeks capital goods loans. It calls for greater citizen influence over fiscal policy.
A concise list of partition suits, foreclosures, divorces, dower matters, and probates appears. Cases involve Bertha Dawson, Charles Utter Sr., Milford B L and Loan Co., Chester Parker, Maggie Parker, Coy Cooper, Virginia Hale Paxton, Theodore Paxton, Margarite Dennison, Edgar Nellison, and others. Proceedings include decrees, dismissals, guardianships, sales, and estates with numerous appraisers and executors named.
Clermont county farmers may borrow from the federal government using farm stored corn as collateral. Loans require corn grading no lower than No 4, at 46 cents a bushel with 2 percent crib space per bushel, and 4 percent interest. Applications close March 1 with maturity August 1.
Sealed bids for twenty thousand dollars in Clermont County Ohio court house bonds are due February 15, 1934. Bonds numbered 1 to 20 at $1000 each bear 6 percent interest and mature from 1985 to 1954, with delivery in Batavia. Bids must meet par plus accrued interest and include a 2 percent certified check.
