Elizabeth Harlow honored for near perfect attendance over 17 years with four charter members remaining.

Burley tobacco on the Ripley market last week averaged 8.05 per hundred, about 50 cents higher than the prior week. Monday, baskets opened at 1.50, bought on house account if not raised by buyers. High basket sold for 27, with many mid-twenties. total sales exceeded one million pounds for the second straight week, reaching 1,124,205 pounds and raising season totals to 3,870,255 pounds.
