Stonelick Life Squad Aids 183 People In72
The Stonelick Township Volunteer Life Squad served 183 individuals in 1972 with 166 runs and logged 802 manhours. They completed 101 runs from 6am to 6pm and 65 runs from 6pm to 6am, traveling 7050 miles, with 30 hours spent in training. Officers remain Patricia Honebrink president, Edna Mae Emery secretary, Ruby Saunders treasurer, Frank Honebrink captain, Tom Martin member. The squad seeks more qualified members and lists contact Frank Honebrink at 625-7360. A Red Cross First Aid instructor will offer classes at Mt. Crab at 7:30pm Mondays. call 732-2107. Gifts Expand Area College Moore Fund
The Harry R. Moore Scholarship Loan Fund at Clermont General and Technical College, University of Cincinnati, has grown through PTA and community gifts, including a September contribution from Goshen PTA and a visit by Moore who donated journals. Established in 1972, the fund offers interest free loans to Clermont County graduates pursuing education at UC's two year college. Any student from a Clermont County high school may apply. Excessive speed for weather and road conditions caused 36 percent of fatal crashes. 20 percent resulted from failure to yield to others.
