State Senator William Mussey of the 14th District was named vice chair of the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee and will also serve on the Agriculture Conservation and Environment and Ways and Means committees. He joins a joint House Senate Legislative Ethics Committee and notes seniority affects panel choices while aiming to push rural tax relief and environmental legislation. Clermont County sales tax receipts for December 1 to 29, 1972 totaled 196,102.93 dollars, up from the prior year. year-to-date totals show 1,312,255.78 dollars versus 1,177,630.37 dollars.

Hospital Guild Re organizes After Clermont County Hospital Plans

County planners approve several zone changes on diverse parcels. A 3 acre tract on SR 28 in Miami Township near Cook Road and Elm Street faces higher classification needs for 10 parcels. Batavia Township could reclassify 8.4 acres on College Drive to business with CIP Corp using a residence as office. A second College Drive change for 2.4 acres by Thomas Pancher awaits action. In Jackson Township, Central Reds Mix seeks agricultural to industrial on 3.6 acres by US 50 for a concrete mixer, with plans and dimensional details yet to be filed and waiver possible.

White Now Heads Monroe Two Board

Bethel councilman William J. Duckworth faces auto larceny charges after allegedly taking the Village Board of Public Affairs truck. He posted a $1,000 bond as the vehicle was found partly in Mayor Sharp’s garage after being spotted idling on a village street.
