DAR Delegates Elected for State and National DAR Meets
Beech Forest Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met January 13 at Mrs. Herbert Rowan’s home in Williamsburg for a National Defense program. Delegates were chosen for the upcoming state and national meetings in Cincinnati and Washington D C. Grace Hirschauer is named delegate to the Continental Congress with alternates James Fox and Herbert Rowan. State Conference delegates include Hirschauer and Sheila Fisher with several alternates. Junior member Mrs. Frederick J. Bazeley will serve as a page at the State Conference.

The Felicity Garden Club hosted a weather themed session with Mrs Talitha Cordes's class at Felicity Franklin School on January 8. Members defined weather, learned about dew thunder lightning and snowflakes, and planted a dish garden using gravel sand charcoal and dirt with snake plants begonias and philodendrons.
