New Clermont County Board sets bonds and appointments
At its first regular 1961 meeting the new Clermont County commissioners approved a final bond resolution for economic development bonds for the Industrial Parts Depot Inc. The 1979 change raised tax exempt bonds to 425000. The Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence proposed an 1981 budget of 33527 from marriage license fees with 772 licenses issued in Clermont County through 31 October and fees from Warren Brown and Clinton counties. A 285500 loan was requested for the Clermont Board of Mental Retardation to cover 169 board expenses. New Human Services Board appointments were made and uniforms bid for the road department. The sewer district maintenance bonds were released.

Temporary jail approved at Service Center site details
The Service Center on SR 222 will house a temporary jail by late 1983 with modular units costing about 1.2 million dollars plus 10,200 for architectural services. The facility will hold 38 to 42 inmates in 16 and 12 person cells, depending on configuration, with foundations and kitchens included. Sheriff Cole says a longer term jail is at least a year away.
