Batavia bakery sale sparks civil suit over assets
James Williams who runs the Sweet Shop on Batavia Main Street sues Edward and Mark Klette and Dennis Whitt over the Bethel Bakery sale. He claims a January 16 1982 agreement gave the Klettes an interest in the Bethel and Old Fashioned bakeries and that they failed to pay $5000. Williams says the Klettes sold assets to Whitt last summer, with installments paid to the Klettes and without notifying him. He seeks $5000 plus interest and a court appointed receiver for the bakery in the case filed December 10 before Judge Louis J Schwartz.
