Resolutions vary as Clermont residents set hopes for 1983

Shirley Foley Named deputy auditor for Mont County

Shirley Foley 37 was named deputy auditor for Mont County on December 17 by County Auditor James Rymer. Foley has 15 years in the office handling budgets and tax rates and would have full authority if Rymer is away. The office, with 22 employees, covers payrolls accounts payable budgets school districts and county funds. Foley a Republican has previously been passed over for promotion but Rymer supports her, noting his reelection and upcoming four year term.

Doctors protest Mercy Health Eastgate center plan

Doctors oppose the Mercy Health System Eastgate medical complex arguing it harms private practice. Clermont County Medical Society narrowly voted against the project, while Clermont Mercy Hospital and Bethesda Health discuss land, offices, and contracts. Construction cost pegged at about 2 million with late arrivals of commitments from local physicians.
